Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Warung Lesehan Ayam Goreng Pak Sholeh, a beloved chicken restaurant nestled in the heart of Malang, Indonesia. Tucked away on Jl. Raya Kertanegara in Ngambon, this establishment is a treasure trove for those seeking authentic, traditional fried chicken. Known for both its flavorful dishes and budget-friendly prices, Pak Sholeh’s warung has carved out a niche as a go-to dining destination for locals and adventurous foodies alike.

The vibrant ambiance may attract the attention of hungry patrons, but it’s the delicious offerings that keep them coming back. Diners rave about the Ayam Goreng, the star of the menu, which consistently garners praise for its tantalizing crispiness and rich flavor. The whole chicken, priced at just 90K Indonesian Rupiah, is an irresistible choice that highlights the restaurant's commitment to delivering value alongside quality.

However, your culinary adventure at Warung Lesehan might come with a few caveats. Several reviews noted that while the food quality remains high, the service can sometimes falter, leading to items running out or being served lukewarm. Despite this, the robust flavor profile of dishes like the eggplant pecel has even converted some diners into eggplant lovers—a testament to the kitchen’s skills in balancing flavors. The sayur asem, while not universally adored, showcases the restaurant's dedication to traditional Indonesian fare.

While it's an excellent spot for family gatherings or a casual meal, the restaurant could greatly enhance the dining experience with improved service and a bit of creative decoration. A few touches here and there could transform a simple meal into a memorable feast. If you’re planning to dine in, remember the area is known for its lively mosquito population, so a good insect repellent might be advisable.

In summary, Warung Lesehan Ayam Goreng Pak Sholeh promises authentic Indonesian flavors, generous portions, and a wallet-friendly menu. It perfectly balances the charm of traditional dining with the simple joy of sharing a hearty meal. So, gather your companions and swing by for a delightful chicken feast that is sure to leave you wanting more!

Very tasty and price is reasonable. 90K rupiah for whole chicken. But I wanted urap, the person at the counter said yes, when the server brought my food, he said they run out. I asked another dish and was told no prob, only 5 mins later, another server came out and said they run out! Again! Ended up with 3rd option. But the eggplant pecel is tasty! And not too spicy. They almost converted me to an eggplant eater If you are not used to mosquitos, use good insect repellent if dine in. Otherwise you eat and be eaten (by mozzies )

The best traditional fried chicken choice in this area

Affordable prices with bigger portion from average in general, still the same quality over the years! The minus is serving the food with cold condition, not warm like freshly fried / roasted. Overall: Recommended for family group. Need improvement on the services and architectural maintenance. More decoration would be great!

If you like traditional fried chicken, visit this restaurant. Delicious and very affordable price. Quite crowded during working lunch hours. Ayam goreng is the best, but sayur asem is not my taste.

worth of money.. big portion, taste was delicious.. fast service.. two thumbs for this resto.
